The 6G16 11:38 Stud Farm to Crewe ballast working passes Water Orton with Freightliner class 66601 in charge of 23 loaded bogie wagons.
DB Schenker class 66 66104 is seen on the main line at Water Orton with the 6E77 11:45 Bedworth to Port Clarence empty red bogie tanks.

47848 ‘Titan Star’ and 47839 ‘Pegasus’ pass a packed gallery at Elford with the 13:45 6Z48 Burton West Yard to Dollands Moor empty steel carriers. In Virgin Cross Country days 47848 was named ‘Newton Abbot Festival of Transport’ and then leased to Freightliner Heavy Haul in 2003/04, it was previously numbered 47632, 47068 and D1652. 47839 was formerly named ‘Pride of Saltley’ with Virgin Cross Country with previous numbers 47621 ‘Royal County of Berkshire’, 47136 and D1728.

Roy Castle at Rugeley.

West Coast Railway Company class 47 47786 ‘Roy Castle OBE’ is seen under the catenary at Rugeley with a single Mk. 1 carriage on the 5Z83 Southall to Carnforth working. 47786 started life as D1730 and has also carried 47138, 47607 and 47821 over the years.
