Moorswater MPV

The first train on the Moorswater branch (beyond Coombe Junction Halt) since Pathfinder's tour on Sunday 10 February 2013 sees Network Rail Windhoff MPVs DR98958 & DR98908 approaching Moorswater Viaduct with the 2135 St Blazey L I P to St Blazey L I P weed killing train. The train also visited Looe and the Tamar Valley Line to Gunnislake. Photo credit - Mark Simpson

Just about the best chance of seeing a freight train on the main line in Cornwall at the moment is the 6C53 14:50 St Blazey to Exeter Riverside on a Thursday. Here DB Cargo 66108 crosses Coldrenick Viaduct near Menheniot with a load of 9 JIA Imerys bogie covered hopper china clay wagons. Photo credit - Mark Simpson
